-Mt. Yonah Elementary School is a Title I High Performing Reward School. We are proud of our CCRPI: Four Star School Climate Rating, which indicates that we are considered an above average school according to the school climate index.
-We are proud of student achievement in all grade levels. Approximately 65% of our students, grades K-5, scored at or above grade level expectations on winter Measure of Academic Progress (MAP).
-We are proud of our Green Team! Students participate in weekly recycling efforts to reduce paper and plastic waste.
-We are one of few schools in Georgia to receive the Georgia Shape Grant, which focuses on educating students on making healthy choices. Our students are allotted “brain breaks” throughout the day, which gives them opportunities for movement and exercise.
-MYES received new technology this year. We are proud of our technology integration in adding a new computer lab, as well as new computers and i-pads for our teachers and students. Our new technology helps to enhance instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
